In this unit of work, a relaxed approach to Bespoke Tailoring was encouraged, with the main focus behind concept and design. The pleats, folds and layering found in origami were explored and developed to create a jacket with high visual impact, and minimal stitch and fastening detail. The resulting garment was made using a lightweight Tyvek fabric as it combined the shape memory of paper with its rumples from handling, and the drape of a lightweight cloth.
